Civil Servant is a Christchurch-based independent cafe and eatery located in the heart of the city council chambers. Owner-operators Anjelica and Ollie approached me to work on a rebrand for them that would capture the history of the iconic ex-postal building that they were situated in while also providing them with a fresh voice to grow their business from. What resulted was a brand the embraces playful typography and illustration while keeping a calm and credible tone throughout.
